President Obama has unveiled an exciting new initiative that could have very positive ramifications for Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood. Under the acronym BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies), the project earmarks $100 Million in the Fiscal 2014 budget to help researchers find new ways to treat, cure, and even prevent brain disorders, such as Alzheimerâ€™s disease, epilepsy, and traumatic brain injury.
