Great News! The Dutch AHC Association announced at the screenings of Human Timebombs that they have awarded Cure AHC 10,000 Euros to help support the mouse model work at Duke University with Dr. Mikati’s team. The Dutch AHC Association President Willem Zorge subtitled a 5 minute video presentation from Cure AHC President Jeff Wuchich that was aired at each screening. Jeff’s presentation talked about the ongoing research and thanked everyone for their generosity. We are grateful for the generosity and send a huge thank you to all those who made the donation possible!!
The 2nd Annual One in a Million NJ Golf Outing for Cure AHC was a smashing success! Netting an estimated $34,000 so far, the outing surpassed last year’s $23,000 total (and donations are still coming in). Pictured here are (l-r) Cure AHC Vice President Tony Pena (grandfather of AHC Champion James), two members of the Columbia Institute for Genomic Medicine, George and Mary Ellen Hufnagel (also James’ grandparents) and Cure AHC Co-Founder and President Jeff Wuchich. We are grateful for all the support!
Del’s Ride registration is open & People are signing up and fundraising is in full swing. Del’s Ride is a single track mountain bike event and trail run to benefit Cure AHC in support of 7-year-old Delaney Johnson. Delaney, of Essex Junction, VT, has Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) and epilepsy. There is currently no cure or 100% effective treatment for AHC. This year our fundraising goal is $20,000. You can help us beat it by donating today! Our first ride in 2014 raised more than $7,000 for AHC and last year we raised more than $15,000. http://www.delsride.org/signup
